Rajamouli Reveals How Ramayana Will Be Presented In Varanasi

Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra are teaming up with Rajamouli for the ambitious sci-fi adventure Varanasi.

Rajamouli is aiming to take the film to the global viewers and has been promoting it through all international interviews without fail.

The director recently revealed an interesting detail about the story. Varanasi features time travel, with Mahesh Babu playing a common man named Rudra.

He travels back to the Ramayana era, where he will also appear as Lord Rama. However, the Ramayana portions will not be shown as one long episode.

Jakkanna revealed that these sequences will be divided into smaller sub-plots and placed at different points in the main story. This makes the Ramayana an important part of Varanasi rather than a separate flashback.
